A key component of messaging strategy … is getting your messaging in front of readers/users/viewers who might care.

(For another day: no story, however promoted or advertised, fails the ‘Do I care?’ test unless it’s a story well crafted.)

People and causes and projects and companies of all sorts turn to Facebook ads to generate readers. At the moment, few other platforms are as successful.

There is a national conversation, of course, about “fake news.” And it’s worth asking: Does a reader/user/viewer start out caring less about a story because it’s served up to them in a Facebook ad?

The two graphs below provide some insights.
