Unknown to many, the different types of fragrance such as ‘Eau de Toilette’ and ‘Eau de Parfum’ refer to the amount of actual fragrance oil within the bottle. So, which are strongest and how can you tell?
The diagram below illustrates the most common fragrance strengths that you will find on the market today.
The percentages refer to the amount of pure fragrance oils that are actually in a fragrance. The rest is fragrance alcohol and in many cases water. The greater the percentage of fragrance oil, therefore, the longer lasting the fragrance.
