2nd Shavington Brownies gain ‘World Issues’ badge with help from the WI

At Woodnoth-cum-Shavington’s July meeting, special guests included the winning team from the Brownies.

After completing individual questionnaires on environmental issues, 5 teams were tasked to make models of sea creatures from recycled materials.

Judging was very difficult as all models were well made and showed imagination.

The winner was the Sea Horse (the one upright).

The project enabled the brownies to gain their ‘World Issues’ badge as well as a WI certificate which had been given out previously to all 30 brownies who took part. The winners of the team project were awarded the trophy at the meeting, enjoyed a talk from a cartoonist, and had cakes and drinks to complete the evening.
