Shavington-cum-Gresty Parish Council is a statutory consultee and as such is consulted on all planning applications made for property or land within the Parish. During the last two years the Parish has found itself the subject of a number of planning applications for large scale housing development. The Parish Council remains firmly committed to representing local views and the best interests of residents in opposing major new housing developments, and takes this responsibility very seriously, particularly in respect of proposals for large housing developments which would create an enormous strain on the local infrastructure.

To assist us in ensuring that any objections submitted carry the most weight we will call upon expert planning assistance when required. On this page you will find a list of the large planning applications on which the Parish Council has submitted comments and the detail of these comments is available by clicking the relevant links.

At an extra-ordinary meeting of the Parish Council on 20 January 2016, Members considered the following planning application and made objections as indicated:

Reserved Matters application seeking consent for appearance, landscaping, layout and scale following the approval of 14/3267N — Construction of up to 53 dwellings including details of access.

The dwellings described as CHU appear to be set too close together.
If the Churchill design is the social housing/mixed tenure, these should be ‘pepper-potted’ throughout the site.
