About the competition
Why not use recyclable materials and build an environmentally friendly scarecrow over the Easter holidays? Bonus points if you can include the Shavington Online leaf logo somewhere on your scarecrow; printed off the internet or made of sticks — it all counts!
The competition, organised by Shavington-cum-Gresty Parish Council and Shavington Online, runs until 10 May.
The first prize is £50 and the runner-up receives £30. The winners will be announced at Shavington Village Festival on 11 May.
Three simple steps:
- Design and build your scarecrow
- Register your entry to take part in the competition by 19 April
- Display your scarecrow for judging (make sure it is visible from the road) between 29 April and 10 May 2019

Fancy being a Judge?
Judging forms with a map of the registered scarecrows will be available online from 29 April. Call 01270 262636 for a hard copy. All judging forms to be returned to Shavington-cum-Gresty Village Hall post box for 5pm on Friday 10 May 2019.
