Yesterday, with an audience of 6,000 plus fans (according to The Score) , Liz Cambage had a very impressive performance by scoring a career high of 53 points against the New York Liberty. The 6’8” center is now the holder of the most made points in a single game in WNBA history. Riquna Williams held the record for four years with 51 points made in a single game back in 2013.

Shooting 77% from the field, Cambage was 17/22 in field goals. Additionally, she was 4/5, 80%, from behind the arch which is unheard of for a center!!! (Well, if you watch the WNBA there are a couple of centers that work their way around the arch). To add to her statistics, she connected 10 boards along with her high percentage shooting. Even more impressive, she managed all this by only committing one foul and ZERO TURNOVERS. ELIZABETH “LIZ” CAMBAGE HAD ZERO TURNOVERS!

Whew, that is ecstatic for any basketball player IMO. She dominated the game which lead to a Dallas Wings win. Plus she became a 2018 WNBA All-Star on the same day.

If you’re not watching the WNBA this season, you are truly missing out on one of the most iconic seasons in basketball ever. Find yourself a player and/or a team and tune in now.

Congratulations Dallas Wings and Liz Cambage!!!
