“I am Adaobi Frank (Ada Frank), a graduate of Software Engineering and a Google Certified Associate Android Developer with over 6 years of experience building web and mobile applications. I currently work as a Front End Engineer building awesome Hybrid Apps.”

“I’m a mentor for the Andela Learning Community, Abuja, Also a member of Forloop and WeCode Abuja. I’ve always wanted to be one of those hacker geeks that type quickly in movies and fell in love with writing code in my first computer science course, currently I code mainly with JavaScript, Java, Kotlin and .Net.”

“I’ve honestly never thought of quitting, I have Ayanna Howard as a role model because She makes me feel like I can be a rocket scientist. I also have a never back down mentality. My Lowest point since i started my journey in tech would be when a team lead told me I couldn’t make contributions because women don’t talk back at men where he’s from. Yes this is a true story. My Highest point was when Google sponsored my trip for Google I/O this year”

“I’ve worked for years building apps for my employers with not so much excitement there except for when I worked on the ALAT by Wema project. On the other end, I’m currently working on what I’m most proud of, everything is still hush-hush but I’m definitely using JavaScript and Kotlin tools for that.”

“In the next 5 years, i want to delve deeper into Artificial Intelligence. Why? I want to be able to program the robots / apps my kids will get to interact with. But If I were to change something in the tech industry, I would transfer the control of shares or money to the tech savvy employees of big institutions and let them run the companies.”

“I hope technology keeps doing what it currently is in Africa, bringing hope for youth to break free from the cycle of slavemindedness and expand themselves to reach the world.”
