Statistics show that there are twice more men than women in the Project Management field. As a community committed to empowering and encouraging women to be a part of different fields they are interested in, we want to bridge that gap and bring about a statistics balance in tech. To do this, we organize events, training, bootcamps, technical conferences, and so on.

Taking a step further in pursuit of this goal, we have partnered with Treford Academy to offer a partial scholarship to members of our community who are interested in Project Management. Treford Academy is a section of Treford that is focused on empowering African millennials with tech leadership skills through recurrent training that help them stay relevant and compete with other millennials globally in the workspace with its office located in Lagos, Nigeria.

This partnership began on the 20th day of June 2020 and has had 3 cohorts each for the Product Design and Product Management bootcamp with each cohort producing ladies more knowledgeable in these fields.

Benefits of this Partnership

Five ladies at She Code Africa will be offered a 50% scholarship which is worth Twenty Five Thousand Naira (₦25,000) equivalent to Sixty-One Dollars ($61) each to participate in the Treford Project Management Bootcamp. This partnership has helped to empower more women in tech especially in the product management field via their previous cohorts.
