GUEST SPEAKERS

  • Ada Nduka Oyom a.k.a Kolokodess
  • Dr. Chioma Nwakanma a.k.a Dr Zobo (Founder, Smile With Me Foundation)

Here are some key experts and takeaways from our webinar which anchored on “Balancing working and learning from home.”

Dr. Zobo discussed useful hacks for staying healthy while working or learning from home.

Some of them:

  1. Know your biological alarm: Your biological clock controls a great deal of how you function. This works much like a program, regulating the timing of many biological functions ranging from when you sleep to when you reproduce, for example, manage daily cycles of sleeping and waking.
  2. Exercise: This is very important to your health, do a minimum of 30 mins exercise daily.
    - Basic yoga poses can do wonders for the body: They encourage proper alignment by stretching and strengthening the muscles such as those in the back, neck, and hips that get tense when sitting.
  3. Get a comfortable workspace in your home.
  4. Good sitting posture while at your home workspace/desk.
    - Adjust the chair height so your feet are flat on the floor and your knees are in line (or slightly lower) with your hips.
  5. Always take a break.
    - Something as simple as a 60-minute power walk can help counteract the negative effects of prolonged sitting and engage the muscle.
