We know how overwhelming and sometimes daunting our Fairs can be. That’s why I’ve been working alongside our wonderful Activities Officer, Tom Brindley, and Sports Officer, Flo Brookes, to ensure that your mental health and wellbeing is prioritised throughout the whole of Intro Week (and in everything we do). Here’s some of the things you can expect to find during the week that are primarily focused on promoting positive mental health!

Wellbeing Hub

Location: Gallery Room 4

Duration: Running throughout the week

The Wellbeing Hub is an informative space where you can meet representatives from some of our fantastic support services. Because it’s running week-long, there will always be someone there for you to speak to if you have any questions. This also means that if you have other events you need to attend to, you can nip in whenever you’re free. You’ll be able to learn about the different types of support we offer and if/when you might want to engage with them.

The Wellbeing Info Point

Location: The open space beside the Box Office (previously PropertyWithUS)

Duration: Running throughout the week

A whistle-stop-tour of all our support services! If you’re busy, but happen to be passing through the SU, at the Wellbeing Info Point you’ll be able to pick up some information about the support services we have and speak to our wonderful student ambassadors if you have any questions.

The Quiet Space

Location: View Room 4

Duration: Operating on the day of the Activities Fair (21st September 2017)

Sometimes all we crave is just a bit of peace and quiet. That’s just what you can find in the Quiet Space. This is a dedicated space intended to give you the time to recollect and recharge if you’re finding the hustle and bustle just a little overwhelming.

Having a friendly face there to show you around can really make a world of a difference. This is why we’ve created a Buddy System at this year’s Activities, Sports, Fresher’s and Volunteering Fairs!
