Nipawin Schools Come Together For ShelterBox
ShelterBox Canada is thrilled to have the support of students in Nipawin, Saskatchewan. Students from the Early Act Club at Central Park School combined efforts with students at LP Miller and Wagner schools to raise funds for essential tools for families to rebuild and recover after disaster. These inspiring elementary school students raised over $1,200 to help ensure that no family is without shelter.
In the fall of 2016, the Early Act Club at Central Park learned how ShelterBox aid is used by families affected by natural disaster and conflict. The Grade 3 students involved in the Early Act Club wanted to do more, and take some action at home to help families around the world who needed help.
The Central Park Early Act Club worked with LP Miller and Wagner Schools and together they raised brought in over $1,200. The Rotary Club of Nipawin sponsors the Central Park Early Act Club, and Rotarians matched the students’ fundraising, bringing the total raised to over $2,400.
