Inner Peace is Outer Peace

By Andrea Wilburn

Your inner life is never as private as you think

Thoughts are not something filed quietly into your mind

Your thoughts and beliefs

Your fears and your love

Quietly inform all that you behave

Even the style of your pretenses

Your inner life is your outer life

A paradox that makes little sense

Except from the perspective of freedom

How life approaches you

Mirrors how you approach life

If you are peace

Peace will come upon you

If you believe you need drama

To distract

To validate

To empower a comparison to others

Then drama will come upon you

We all desire to not have others tell us what to do

Because that is distinctly part of what we are here to do

Know who you are

And knowing your purpose will follow

You are not here to fulfill someone else’s purpose

You are to fulfill your own

We all want to avoid our pain

Because culture teaches wrong beliefs

Pain is weakness

Pain must be avoided

Pain will make you sad

But no!

Sometimes pain can hold a pearl

Its shell is not always an attractive suit

But once inside you will find many answers

One of the greatest finds is

The answer you are looking for is you

Find yourself and you find the kingdom that goes with it

Not unlike what Jesus says
