Pha Konda peak trek

Trek Altitude: Pha Konda peak is situated at an altitude of 4250 metres.
Trek Level: Easy to moderate
Trek Duration: 3 nights and 4 days
Trek distance: Total distance of the trek is 26Kms.

Some of the highlights of this trek are tall trees, snow, boulders and mountains.

Accomodation: You will be camping in tents on this trek.

Itinerary

The trek starts from Prini, a beautiful village at a distance of 3kms from Manali on Naggar Road.

Day 1- Trek from Prini to Baggi (4kms)

Day 2- Trek from Baggi, pass through Tilgan and Soroutoo (4kms)

Day 3 (Summit Day) — Trek from Soroutoo to Phakhonda Peak and back to Soroutoo (10kms)

Day 4 — Soroutoo to Jagatsukh (8kms)

After breakfast at Soroutoo we reach Jagatsukh, passing through Bhanara village. We will have the opportunity to meet local people and experience mountain culture.

Ravi has fixed departures for this trek on Saturdays and Sundays for the months of May and June. Treks beginning on Saturday will end on Tuesday, and Treks starting on Sunday will end on Wednesday.

Dates for fixed departures of 2019:

For the month May, four batches depart on the following dates: 18th and 19th, 25th and 26th.
For the month of June, ten batches depart on the following dates: 1st and 2nd, 8th and 9th, 15th and 16th, 22nd and 23rd, 29th and 30th.

Cost: The cost of the trek is Rs 6,700 per person

Inclusions:

- Expert trek leader, cooking and support team
- Accommodation in tents
- All meals (vegetarian)
- Sleeping bags (withstanding temperatures as low as -15C)

Food: As part of a rotational weekly changing menu, breakfast, lunch and dinner options are as follows:

A combination of one or more of the following items will be served with weekly rotation as part of a constantly changing menu:

Breakfast could consist of any/some of the following items: corn flakes, bread jam, butter, omlette, toast, Chocos, parathas, pancakes, channa puri.

Hot soup will be served at around 5 or 6PM.

Dinner could consist of the following items:
Chilli Paneer, roti, dal, rice, sweet: Sweets could consist of either of the following items: halwa, local sweet, gajar halwa, jamun, custard)
Dinner will be followed by a serving of hot drinks such as Bournvita/coffee, or hot chocolate. Please speak with Ravi Thakur for the exact menu for your trek.

Two local dishes will be served providing the trekkers a flavor of Manali.

Points to note:

- Offloading Charges — INR 300 per day
- Trekkers are requested to carry their own cutlery, preferably a small tiffin box, spoon and coffee mug.
- 2 to 3 toilet tents will be setup at each campsite
- The trek is suitable for all first time trekkers
