Keto Diet | Day 1
The start of a 30 days trial? Let’s see.
Weight: 63.3 KG — Yes, I gained 2 kilos.
Waist: Unknown, I don’t have a measuring tape at home right now.
Target Weight: 57 KG
So, I am back from vacation and as I promised myself, I will give that Keto diet a real trial. So, here are a few decisions that I have made:
- I am having coffee without milk
- I don’t know yet if I will take the free day or not, I will decide after my first week.
Trying food when going to new places is a must, but here is something that I discovered, I think I can actually survive without the extra starchy and sugary intake. I didn’t crave it so much, although I had so much of it!
Today is my first day in that Keto diet and I must say having the test trials before really helped. My research has already been done. I know what to eat and not to eat. The day has gone quiet smoothly from a food perspective. Also, from an energy level perspective. Maybe, I was grumpy for other reasons?
I did some grocery shopping.
I didn’t any bananas or apples. I actually bought frozen blackberries so I can make a smoothie with almond milk and chia seeds for breakfast. Sometimes thinking of the food I am going to eat gets me excited. This one is one of them.
I also got mozzarella cheese. I mean, if I can eat cheese, I think I can survive.
Considering my options, it looks like seafood will be a big part of my daily food intake: smoked salmon, tuna, baked fish, calamari, seafood soup, etc. It’s quiet easy to cook or prepare.
Here is what I had for the day:
- Breakfast: Bowl of boiled eggs, with spinach, feta cheese and cherry tomatoes
- Lunch: Cajun chicken salad with avocado, lettuce, cucumbers and peppers
- Dinner: Baked white fish with eggplant and spinach
- Snacks: Nuts (Almonds, pistachios and walnuts); 90% dark chocolate
