Keto Diet | Day 2

Weight: 62,2 KG — I don’t think the keto diet made me lose 1 KG in one day. Maybe water retention… or something else?

Waist: Unknown, I still didn’t get that measuring tape.

Target Weight: 57 KG

Being a consultant and all, I thought of tracking my mood and weight across the 30 days trial. So, I have decided to track my mood on a scale from 1–10 to measure my grumpiness or that keto flu that comes with starting this new diet.

Yesterday’s Mood: 9

Today’s Mood: 7

Although I had more energy yesterday, I am still feeling pretty good today as well.

So, what happened with my day?

Breakfast:

  • Coffee without milk
  • Blackberry smoothie with almond milk — That one though did not turn out as good as I thought it would be. It felt like it needed some honey in, so I through in a couple of stevia sweeteners. According to the Internet, it’s one of the best options for a low carb sweetener alternative: Click here, here and here. It got slightly better but not as I hoped, so it looks like I am going to have to do some research to see how to enhance the taste of that smoothie to enjoy it.

Mid-day coffee: I had the double-shot ice-shaken from Starbucks. It was done with half cream, half almond milk and it was absolutely delicious, even better that what I usually order. I think I am going to try that at home soon.

Lunch: Chicken salad with avocado — quiet a safe bet.

Snack: I got hungry really fast. I had two tablespoons of peanut butter, which was delicious. However, it turns out, I really need to be careful with my intake of peanut butter due to it’s high calorie count and the fact that it contains some carbs. I am yet to find a carb free peanut butter.

Dinner: Cooked white fish with spinach and cream. It’s amazing how that fat and protein mix can make me feel full even after feeling very hungry. I had a late dinner.

Dessert: 90% dark chocolate. If you haven’t acquired the taste of dark chocolate, you wouldn’t enjoy this one.

PS: Looking at fries doesn’t help. Avoid that if possible. Otherwise, my cravings are intact.

Hopefully tomorrow, my mood will go up. Or stay the same?

Night. Xoxo
