Keto Diet | Day 3

Weight: 61,5 KG — Again, I think it’s water retention or something. I don’t feel I am losing weight or maybe my scale has gone crazy.

Waist: Unknown, I still didn’t get that measuring tape. I know, not good for tracking.

Target Weight: 57 KG

Mood: 7

So, what’s going on in my keto diet?

I think the best part about it is that I like most of the food, but the worst part about it is that there were a few essentials in my diet that are now out of it and it kind of ruined my favorite meals, like milk and honey.

Breakfast:

  • Coffee without milk
  • Chia seeds pudding with almond milk. Since I no longer put honey in it, it doesn’t taste as good. I think I might have to replace my favorite breakfast.
  • One teaspoon of peanut butter. It turns out it contains some carbs, I need to watch my intake. I wanted something to give me some energy.

I am running out of ideas on what to have as a breakfast that will make me start my day happy. I got the ingredients for the bulletproof coffee. Let’s see tomorrow how that trial will go.

Snacks:

And because I didn’t really enjoy my breakfast, I didn’t have so much of it. That also means I got hungry real quick.

I had smoked salami and cheddar cheese for a snack (twice today).

Also, pistachios.

Lunch: Baked salmon and roasted brussel sprouts. I had to exclude the carrots from my baked salmon.

Mid-day coffee: My favourite doubleshot ice-shaken half cream half almond milk. But, watch-out though, they put a pump of cream, which contains sugar. I had to ask for another one without that pump. Maybe my body is not getting into that ketosis state due to that sugar intake I had yesterday.

Dinner:

I ate out and it was in a Kenyan place. The menu doesn’t exactly relate very well with my memory. The food was basically grilled chicken with a special Kenyan peanut topping, lamb, salad, something Kenyan with kale and grilled vegetables.

I think also being in this keto diet made me extra weird asking about the ingredients of each dish I had no clue about.

Before bed treat: A teaspoon of thick cream.

From a calorie perspective, I might be having more than 1200 kcal given the peanut butter and cream situation. Not sure that helps in the weight loss ambition I have. I am looking forward to feeling less hungry soon.

Good Night.
