Tapan was elated when he checked his score on the website for his Std X Board Exam. After long wait the results were published on 26th June 2021. He had scored a commendable 97%, as a top scorer he is really happy with the results and aims to pursue his dream of becoming a Scientist. The past couple of months were anxious times since schools were closed due to Covid-19 and there was uncertainty regarding conduct of Board Exams. Finally, after much deliberation it was decided to grade the students based on their Std. 9 scores and their performance in unit tests held in Std. 10. For the most part of 2020–21, classes could not be held and schools reopened only briefly for couple of months when students attended classes. However when Covid-19 cases rose again in March 2021, schools had to be shut down. The only option left for students was to study on their own at home or through online study.
Covid-19 pandemic has undoubtedly brought innumerable challenges to the world. Still, it has taught many of us to innovate and adjust to the new normal. At Aveti, we initiated number of measures to serve our students amidst the lockdown and school closures. While students could not attend physical classes, thousands of students accessed lessons on the Aveti Learning App. Each weekend, students eagerly look forward to the weekly subject tests. Thousands of students logged into Aveti YouTube channel for doubt clearing classes and the most popular Sunday Guest Lectures.
Like Tapan, Palak and Soumya thousands of students subscribed to courses on Aveti App during this period to complete their studies at home since schools were closed and teachers could not reach them. By subscribing to a course on Aveti App, the students had 24x7 access to high quality digital video lessons and a huge repository of concept linked questions for practice test. In addition to the weekly tests that the students appeared, they could log in to clarify their doubts from Aveti Master Teachers. The result of any exam or sporting contest can be an outcome of a combination of various factors such as the natural talent, efforts and perseverance of the individual, kind of coaching from teachers and resources available. It is not exactly possible to completely associate and pin point a student's performance to a single factor. Nevertheless we are clearly elated that 25 students who studies on Aveti App could secure a 90%+ score in their Std. X Board Exams.
