When Peter was reporting on the civil war in Sri Lanka, the government threatened to kill him. After more than five years in detention in Australia, his dreams of a normal life seem as distant as ever. This short film, Peter’s Dream, reveals the obstacles he has faced since fleeing his home country. ‘The dream to live a normal life, that was completely destroyed,’ he says. He was recently released from detention but remains haunted by his past.
