Other Caltech students were studying abroad in the University of Edinburgh, so I decided to give them a visit!

I got a roll of haggis, because come on, I’m in Scotland:

And also went on a whisky tour for 12 pounds to where they have the world’s greatest collection and got a free glass:

Then I visited the cafes where JK rowling is rumored to have written harry potter: the Elephant House and the Black Medicine. Elephant house is endorsed with JK rowling’s history and has a decorated bathroom. The latter cafe had a way better selection of food, and I hear JK rowling’s brother in law owns it.

Then I explored the rest of the old town part of the city where they sell cashmere literally everywhere, the edinburgh castle, carlton hill, and the free national scottish museum. It seems to have been aimed at pleasing kids, but it worked just as well for me.

Then with my edinburgh bros, we climbed Arthur’s seat in the cold to appreciate the amazing view! It wasn’t the best weather, but I’m just glad it didn’t rain.

You can get a beautiful view of the city from up top!

And try taking another way around to get back down the mountain for a different view. The way that I took down was past a still lake that reflected the sky perfectly.

Then to fill our empty and exercised stomachs, we got some potatoes at the baked potato shop:

5 pounds for so much goodness.
