I traveled with a bunch of techers to Geneva, and Annie and I wanted to go to Gruyeres, where we could have visited a chocolate factory, cheese factory, a castle, and generally a cool midieval looking town. But.. as everything else in Switzerland, the train tickets were really expensive. $90 roundtrip to somewhere 2 hours away. So we chalked that, and decided to visit a small town on the opposite side of the Lake Leman — about 1 hour direct train ride for $40 roundtrip.

From here, we got to enjoy a picture perfect view of the mountains and the lake

And then walked through the wonderland that was the Christmas Market here. It opened just two days ago, so we visited at the perfect time.

Tartiflette in the food section,

Dance and live music while it snowed and hailed with strong winds,

Lots of chocolate shops,

Cute Christmas accessories,

I dont remember what this is but it may be a Hungarian dessert but it was flour sugar and nutella. Cant go too wrong with that. and crepes!

Some Viking’s Potion, which is hot apple juice with apple spirits. With reusable cups that you return for your deposit. Bless these people.

And we got to play the turning music table thingy!

People were giving out free hugs, and teenagers dressed up as bunnies to hand out free candy. There was santa, snow, and Christmas lights, and the market was pretty much Disneyland on steroids.
