On the ShitDEX platform, there are several methods to choose how to connect your wallet. In this article, we will show you which are these methods and how you can use them.
Let’s begin!
1. The first way of connecting the wallet is with “Private Key”
If you want to use the “Private Key” method you should know that it is not a recommended way to access your wallet because it is not safe to enter your private key on websites. Another good thing you should know it is that ShitDEX doesn’t store your private key. And finally, you are going to use your private key on your own risk.
2. Next option is the “Brain Wallet” connection.
In case you go for this option you should know that anyone who can guess your username and password can steal your funds. So if you consider relying on safety we don’t recommend this method.

3. The third method is “Metamask”.
We recommend you to use this method because its safety is balanced. By balanced we mean the “Metamask” method is not as safe as Trezor or Ledger Nano S but it is not as vulnerable as Private Key, Brain Wallet or Keystore File either. This is a browser extension which you can add to your browser. If you are going to use “Metamask” method click on “Connect” and you will get a Metamask Notification where you can type your password or import your phrase. In case you forget your password you can enter your phrase which is given to you when you make a new wallet.
4. The fourth method is “Keystore File”.
Another recommendation from the Shitcoin DEX team. This is one more method which is on your own risk because your file can be stolen easily if somebody has access to your computer.
5. The final two methods are “Trezor” and “Ledger Nano S”. In case you are all about the security, these are the connection methods which are most recommended.
They are not a browser extension neither computer file which you can save on your computer. They are a physical device which you can buy on their websites. Unfortunately the method “Ledger Nano S” is currently supported by Chrome only.
