Downtown Phoenix is an upcoming, vibrant city in the heart of Arizona. Phoenix is filled with breathtaking murals, eccentric food, and an absurd amount of apartment complexes. It seems as if a new apartment building rises out of the ground every week.

Phoenix has around 19 skyscrapers. According to this list from The Skyscraper Center, the fifth tallest is an apartment complex called 44 Monroe, which is conveniently located at the corner of, you guessed it, Monroe Street and First Avenue.

44 Monroe is one of the most luxurious residential complexes in the city. The building is worth around $70 million. However, luxurious living comes with luxurious costs.

The floor plans show prices ranging from $2000 for a one bedroom apartment to $5000 for a penthouse suite.

However, according to this Fox 10 article from October 2018, residents of the complex do not like paying for amenities they are not able to fully use. In the article, a resident says the complex bars usage of the balcony and that the doors do not open more than five to six inches.

Yelp reviews of 44 Monroe state that the complex has not remedied the balcony situation. Many users stated that they were told the balconies would be fixed after three weeks, but to no avail.
