The Handlebar in Downtown Tempe is a bar located in the center of Mill Ave. The bar offers 48 beers including Local, European & American craft beers. The bar also has a kitchen that serves a variety of burgers, salads, sandwiches, fries, etc.

Just a couple blocks from ASU, the Handlebar offers a hip place for ASU students to drink up and get together in a fun, friendly environment. The atmosphere is very casual and with an open patio with a fire pit, it is the perfect place to get together with friends and take a break from school, work and life.

The Handlebar is a bike friendly place with multiple bike themed items around it. The hallway leading to the restrooms has multiple rows of old bicycles photographs and people riding bicycles back in the day. The bar also features bars around the outside of the building for people to hang their bikes while they grab something to eat and drink.

One of their most expensive bike themed items the bar has, is a custom made five-seat bike located on the back patio. This costumed made creation was made in 2010 and costs almost four thousand dollars. Some of the employees have ridden this bike so it actually works. The bike serves mostly as a decoration piece for the bar’s theme. It has been moved several times but for now it rests on the top of the outside entrance to the patio.
