Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) is an open-source project to help deliver faster and better experiences on mobile websites. Shopalyst has been an early adopter of AMP and we have some interesting stats to share from a study based on over 5 million visits activated from Brand Ads on Google Search, YouTube, Facebook and other leading media platforms.

Lighter : Given that most mobile users are conscious of large data payloads on ad landing pages, we focused our effort on ensuring that our ad destinations are light, yet content rich and beautiful. On an average, our pages are 5x lighter than brand websites with comparable information.

Faster : According to Google, it takes about 19 seconds to load a mobile web page when on a 3G connection. Given our attention span for ads, this surely is not a good thing since the odds of conversion rapidly declines with every passing second. Our median page load speed is significantly lower at 3 seconds.

Engaging : Brands expect to serve an experience unique to their marketing objectives — so we have built support for custom destinations for each brand campaign. Beautiful pages with a consistently fast experience helped increase time spent per visit as well as the depth of interaction by over 25%.

Effective : All our landing pages are shoppable and incorporate easy access to product information and purchase options. Faster load times contribute to a 3x increase in the number of product page views and conversions.

Clearly, speed and shoppability are key factors for brand advertising that resonate with digital consumers. The world’s best brands leverage our Product Knowledge Graph to make their digital media effective, engaging and shoppable.
