We ate our way through the neighbourhood

Like it was our job. (Literally.)

During Shopify’s quarterly Hack Days, employees get the chance to work on whatever they want, even if that means wandering around the neighborhood and eating all the food.

On this glorious Hack Days #15, members of Shopify’s Montreal UX team took on the challenge of contributing to On the Grid, a “designer’s guide to neighborhood gems”. With over 177 cities having been claimed internationally, On the Grid offers lists of neighborhood must-sees, as curated by local design agencies. A sort of travel guide for creative types, by creative types.

With the Shopify office being located in Old Montreal, we went on a mission to discover all the hidden gems our hood had to offer. Check out our On the Grid page to see what made the list.
