Sharing a plain text list
Shopping v2.3
Yesterday, I received a request to add a feature to allow a list to be shared with other people who don’t have the app installed. Having this ability is particularly important in these unusual times because not everyone is able to go to the shops themselves. People with health conditions and the elderly may have to rely on friends and family to do the shopping for them, and the person doing the shopping may not have the Shopping UK app installed.
After receiving this suggestion, I produced several prototypes yesterday afternoon and today I submitted an update (v2.3.2) to the App Store, which will be available to download shortly.
While in the categorised view, there is now a new Send-To option in the top-right corner. Pressing this will open the standard iOS actions panel and, from here, there are options to send an email (shown below right), send to a printer, or send to other apps.
The options on this panel are fully configurable.
