DAILY DIY: Decorative Dreamcatcher

Ready to make the dreamcatcher of your dreams? You’re only a few simple steps away!

Materials:

• embroidery hoop
• suede cord
• string
• feathers
• multicolor beads
• glue
• scissors

Step 1

Wrap the suede cord around the metal loop so it’s covered entirely. Tie the end and cut off the excess or glue the end into place. Wait for it to dry before moving on.

Step 2

Knot the string around the hoop to hold it in place. Repeat until you have 12 evenly-spaced knots around the loop.

Step 3

Continue weaving the unbroken string under, over and through the midpoint of each section of the dreamcatcher until you’ve achieved the amount of webbing you want. When you’ve finished, secure the end with a knot.

Step 4

String a bead in the middle.

Step 5

Wrap the outer loop in decorative lace.

Step 6

Tie five beaded strings to the base of your dreamcatcher.

Step 7

Attach the feathers by squeezing glue into the holes in the beads and inserting the quills. Allow to dry.

Step 8

Make a loop at the top of the embroidery hoop, and hang to decorate!
