Said to have originated in Japan and translating to “diving” or “submerge” in Korean, jamsu is the process of 1) applying all your liquid makeup as usual, 2) setting your whole face with a layer of baby powder and 3) dunking your face in a bowl of ice water for 15–30 seconds. The baby powder provides a protective barrier for your makeup as the cold water shrinks your pores, leaving you with a flawless matte finish that lasts all day.

The general consensus is that it actually works kind of well but makes your face smell like egg farts, which honestly is a plus in most post-apocalyptic scenarios.

This one’s fairly simple and definitely won’t make you smell like egg farts. At the end of your beauty routine, add a bit of your normal highlighter to the very tip of your nose.
