New SHOPX Advisor — Severino Alvarez

It’s advisor time again! SHOPX just can’t help but attract some of the most interesting players in the space, and Severino Alvarez is no exception.

We’re excited to have such an interesting, versatile advisor with so much experience in the fashion industry, one of the most important early industries for SHOPX. Severino has worked in art and fashion for over ten years, so he has his finger on the pulse of the types of communities we have a vested interest in. Considering the massive success of the Mag Park ReserveX Pass, this is another perfect fit for us.

Through creative direction, advisory, and brand development, Severino has been able to cultivate a very large network. Included in his network is LVMH, a French multinational corporation and conglomerate specializing in luxury goods. LVMH is one of the largest fashion conglomerates in the world, and Severino is involved on the client development side on multiple accounts with them.

With years of experience in event production, he has helped brands put on events and create experiences for their customers. This includes lots of work around Art Basel, a big draw for crypto and NFTs in Miami. He is also a part owner of the Mexico Design Fair, of which LVMH is a sponsor.

As a “professional learner,” Severino thought it would be a good idea to apply his network and resources to SHOPX. He believes in our vision and predicts that many, if not all, luxury and lifestyle brands will be using token-gating and tokenized products one day.

Severino feels the need, as do we all, to help bridge the gap between brands and Web3. His mission will be to help connect brands to our technology in creative ways that make sense for each individual business. It isn’t always easy to adapt to new technology, but this task comes naturally when you spend your life helping brands develop and present themselves.
