I run my hands over the upper left corner of my bed, scanning for smudges on the blinding white. The alarm rings my to-do list in a tranquilizing voice.

Water and kibble bowl served, I grab a taffy set of towels for my home gym. In the post-workout shower, I pause on product labels, like it was a tutorial. Counting seventeen in my head is easy, when the procedure is mapped out.

Over oats, I FaceTime my parents. Low contact is a sign of deviant conduct.

I erase every trace of my morning, restoring my habitat to its pristine state. My cold brew chills by my laptop, desk winded around a green window sill.

Matching my makeup to the filter, I let scheduled calls form a firm cascade. Balancing discussions at work can be thorny. Blending, geniality, and being yourself. But it can be mastered if you stay current on illuminating courses.

My weekly task report fills my screen, offering me optimal ends to achieve.

Meal delivery incises a break, and I verify calories before twirling my fork. Observing my projects position according to priority comforts my corneas.

The place for strange and funny microfiction stories (300 words or fewer). If you prefer 301-word stories, then this isn’t the place for you. Come back when you have a shorter attention span. Nah, I’m kidding — stories of any length can be great. But here, it’s all ≤ 300.

I'd rather be watching Netflix.
