Strategy Also Involves What NOT To Do

But do we ask the right question?

If we ask ourselves the question “What should we ditch to achieve our goals?” We create the wrong mindset.

By framing the question this way, we’ll subconsciously start making excuses for projects and initiatives that hinder development.

You can always prove that a certain project is important.

You can always BELIEVE that it is important.

We need a more radical approach.

We have to decide what to do and stop doing everything else.

There are two types of activities a company should perform:

[1] Activities that help implement strategy.

[2] Activities we must perform no matter what our strategy is.

Every business should pay taxes — even if you don’t like the idea-:)

Any other activities should be removed.

We shouldn’t need a reason to stop doing something.

We must have a reason to continue doing it.
