The good news is that India’s capital city, New Delhi did not have a single Covid death in the last 24 hours. Since April 2020, it has been averaging 88 deaths per day and the situation was very grim.

We have been hearing that Covid-19 cases have been increasing every day. The capacity for hospital beds in Delhi has increased manifold. Some government schools have also been occupied by the government as Covid recouping centres.

Today, however, the city is rejoicing the victory over the dreaded disease. The frontline workers in the health sectors have also been vaccinated.
