I occasionally shop at a small store called Back Street Records. I’ve done so since 2005. It sells new and used CDs, and until recently was the only store in Fredericton that sold vinyl records.

In the 10 years that I’ve shopped there, I’ve only seen one person at work, the manager Eric.

He looks the same now as he did then, although his hair is greyer.

The store rarely has more than one customer. The size of the store would make it difficult to fit many more.

The one thing that strikes me is that Eric doesn’t own any vinyl records.

He says he grew up with CDs.
