A month of major updates

Women’s Cuts, Kids Cuts, In-App Chat, and 3-week booking.

Ahh, it’s already October. And while you were prepping that Halloween costume and carving your pumpkins, the Shortcut dev team has been hard at work. We’re rolling out the next generation of features to make your Shortcut experience even better.

Shortcut for the whole family

It’s true: for the first time ever, we’ve launched haircut options for women, as well as kids cuts. Now the entire family can #GetShortcut! Explore our new service options below.

Women’s Haircut options now available in the Shortcut app.

Women’s Haircut: Gorgeous precision cutting by one of our talented hairstylists.

Styling: The finishing touch to get you looking your best. (Add-on only)

Blowout: From smooth and straight to beachy waves: achieve the perfect look for any occasion.

Kids Cut: For ages 5–11. The freshest look at school.

Little Kids Cut: For ages 1–4. The first snips from one of our baby savvy Pros.

Shortcut now offers in-home Kids Cuts.

Instant messaging with your Pro

Perhaps the largest release of this year, we’re launching in-app chat between you, your Pro, and the Shortcut Team.

With 2018's renewed focus on privacy, it is vital for us to protect Pros’ and customers’ private information, like emails and phone numbers. So we’ve built an instant chat system that will help you answer questions, schedule appointments and manage bookings, right from the Shortcut app.

Pro Chat is a powerful new way to answer questions and book appointments.

Not only that, but you’ll also get customer support right in the chat – meaning it’ll be much easier to troubleshoot issues. Simply tag @shortcut in any chat to get our staff’s attention, in case you have an issue or question.

3-week booking

Last but not least, we’re releasing tech that enables customers to schedule appointments up to 3 weeks ahead of time.

Select a week to get more granular detail on local Pros’ schedules.

Whether a Pro or customer, we’re hoping that these changes make it easier to plan out your month, and to get that booking you want most.
