Summer is Coming.

Jon Snow’s stint with a man bun was just about as satisfying as the G.o.T. series finale… It showed promise at first and then ultimately fell flat. Instead of sporting his fierce new hairstyle to the end, it turns out that Snow’s war-knot was just a nod to the gods of 2015 and nothing more.

Perhaps, like Jon, you’re considering a style revamp for the upcoming change of climate. Mix things up a bit and maybe it’ll spark an epic summer!

In honor of our favorite bastard, turned Lord Commander, turned king, turned angsty incestual nephew, turned assassin… here are our top five man buns that might inspire your next new look (or not because who really rocks a man bun anymore?):

1. Chris Hemsworth

Some may call him the inventor of the man bun, but most likely it was the rest of his biology that looked good. He certainly, though, paved the way for action heroes to accessorize with color-matching hair thingys — Sounds like a weird rich guy thing to do.

2. Jason Mamoa

If you can get yourself a step stool and see the top of this 6’4” Khaquaman (trademark name pending), you might be tempted to snip a lock of his wavy mid-knot — maybe if you put it in your next protein shake, osmosis will get you curling more weight than the girl scout next door.

3. David Beckham

Bend it, twist it, wrap it around, and tie it up — the Beckham bun was a signature of this trendy soccer star both on and off the field. He made it so popular that even Posh Spice couldn’t resist but to jump on the trend.

4. Heath Ledger

His man bun was a man bun before man even knew how to bun. R.I.P. to the lovable Australian, who graced us with a variety of characters on screen, from a teenager who looked way to old too be in high school, to a cross-dressing psycho path. Also, gay cowboy.

5. Leonardo DiCaprio

With a net worth of roughly $245 million and finally an Oscar under his belt, he can make almost anything look good; even being frozen solid in the Atlantic Ocean made teenage girls swoon all over the world. Then when his baby-face finally grew a beard, his head-hair seemed to follow suit in great fashion.

So, will you be growing out your hair or changing it up another way this summer? — maybe it’ll draw eyes upward away from the dad bod. TBH, that’s our plan.
