Love, A Word

Love, a word, only a joke

in being a step ahead, ready,

only cliche

as waves and gravity

are scenery.

What else would you do?

— really, truly why?

As silence and stillness

create music and dancing

void creates love.

Love, a word with no opposite;

hate’s only self-fear manifested.

What else would you do?

— really, truly why?

Love, the bleeding myth-slayer

palms out,

the massless counterweight

heroic in surrender.

Love, words and words and words

pleading for your action.
