Can We Be Honest About How Disappointing Bridgerton Season 3 was?

The season is over now, so let’s discuss the beautiful highs of Part 1 and disastrous lows of Part 2.

Season 3, Part 2 of Bridgerton is, hands down, the most disappointing, unexciting, and forced concusion to the Netflix saga yet. Despite the fact that everything that fans adore about Bridgerton — the lavish costumes, the vibrant sets, the floral extravagance and gold and jewl filled sets — has been dialed up, the final product leaves much to be desired.

The period-inspired yet modern dresses are more colorful and bejeweled than ever. Balls were thrown with modern pop played alongside Motzart, and the period-inspired but mostly fantastical costumes (featuring lots of ombre, embellishments, and layered fabrics) had zippers and rinestones, so we all know the world of Bridgerton isn’t meant to portray history but rather to create an enticing, imaginary realm. However, beneath this glossy surface, the story struggles to keep its charm. Although the chemistry between Colin and Penelope feels as believable as possible, an Part 1 was full of excietment and potential, but Part 2 felt rushed and unrealistic as a concusion to the story so far. I found myself more invested in other subplots, during Part 2…
