Claim to fame: This heartwarming British stop-motion comedy movie from Nick Park and Aardman Animation (Wallace and Gromit, Shaun the Sheep) is perfect for the whole family to watch together. It’s a multiple Annie Award nominee and Common Sense Media Selection with an all-star voice cast including Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne, Tom Hiddleston (aka Loki in Thor), Maisie Williams (aka Arya in Game of Thrones), and Miriam Margolyes and Timothy Spall from Harry Potter.

Teen Titans Go! To the Movies

Storyline: These days it seems like every superhero is getting their own movie. Their sidekicks? Not so much. Robin and his gang of budding superhero friends set out to win over a Hollywood director, but to be taken seriously, they’ll need to defeat a real villain and, you know, maybe throw in a few musical numbers along the way.

Claim to fame: Nominated for an Annie award for outstanding writing, this funny, clever animated spoof movie is a great watch for the whole family — teens included. It’s packed with multi-layered jokes and references to the superhero classics, which means that while the kids are cracking up at the potty humour, there’s a whole lot for the rest of us to enjoy too. Apart from the familiar voices from the series, celeb cameos to listen out for include Nicolas Cage, Will Arnett, Jimmy Kimmel and Kristen Bell, who received a Kid’s Choice nomination for Favourite Female Voice for her role as Hollywood director Jade Wilson.

K.C. Undercover

Storyline: Meet K.C. Cooper — tech whiz, maths genius, black belt … teenager. What she doesn’t know is that her parents are spies — and they’re about to recruit her to their team.

Claim to Fame: It-girl Zendaya (The Greatest Showman, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Euphoria) stars as K.C., complete with kick-ass fights — in heels, of course — and awkward teen humour, a combination that’s earned her two Kids’ Choice Awards for Favourite Female TV Star. The comedy series also received two Emmy nominations, for stunt coordination and cinematography.

Justice League

Storyline: Wonder Woman’s Gal Gadot and Batman’s Ben Affleck join forces with Superman, Cyborg and The Flash to stop the greatest enemy they’ve ever faced.

Claim to Fame: Justice League is the fifth instalment in the DC Superhero Universe. It features all your favourites: not only Wonder Woman, Batman and Superman (Henry Cavill), but also Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and The Flash (Ezra Miller). Amy Adams, Jeremy Irons and Diane Lane co-star. This is a good one to watch with teens, who will enjoy the non-stop action.
