Shrimp of the Week — Bo Molbert
What is some general background info about you?
My name is Bo and I am a born and raised New Orleanian and proud shrimp holder. I graduated from the University of Louisiana Lafayette, geaux cajuns, in 2020 with a degree specializing in Kinesiology and Exercise Science Sales.
Professionally, I am currently working as the Manager of Client and Customer Success for an organization called GIFTED Healthcare, an exceptionally fast growing and industry leading staffing agency that focuses in travel nursing and providing the best care and service for patients across the nation.
Some of my favorite hobbies include sifting through NFT alpha, listening to a good podcast while working out or biking through NOLA, and playing Overwatch (one of my favorite games).
How did you come to join the Shrimp Society?
What led me to the shrimp was a long 4 hour conversation in the sunroom of my apartment with a guy named Luke Didrikson.
Luke had been involved with NFTs for some time now and when he came down to visit New Orleans we began to chat about what NFTs could mean and what he had conceptualized as the beginning of what would become the Shrimp Society NFT. Once the concept of what true, viable utility attached to a smart contract of an NFT could be clicked in my brain, I decided I had to be on board and begin learning what I could about this interesting world that still many people have yet to uncover.
What excites you most about being a part of the Shrimp?
What I am most excited about in regards to the Shrimp are the people involved. Already in the few months that I have been present and active in this community I have met some truly outstanding people and learned an incredible amount about this space that I could have not dreamt of knowing 6 months ago.
I am blown away by how many smart, thoughtful, and trendsetting community members the Shrimp Society NFT has quickly gained in such a short time period, and this is only the beginning.
The potential that this organization has to truly create something special is endless and only limited by the creativity and effort that each of us chooses to put forth. And one of the most important things to me is how much excitement and fun I have had so far along this journey.
What is your “ask”? How can the Shrimp best support you?
My biggest ask for how the shrimp can support me is to be active in the discord and participate in conversation. I thrive off of the banter, hard thought discussions, and getting to know the individuals in this group. Similar to what I said previously I think you get out of the Shrimp Society what you put into it as that also applies to a variety of other aspects across life.
LAST WEEK
- Miami & NOLA Meetups 🍻 The Shrimp hosted two meetups at the same time in two different cities. Below you’ll see some NOLA Shrimp meeting at Hot Tin and over in Miami the Shrimp met up at Cerveceria La Tropical. The Miami meetup had a camera crew there for an upcoming documentary, too. 👀
- Shrimp Tales ep. 5 gets deep 🤔 Garrett and Chris discussed where the project is at, hype curves, community design, and all sorts of good stuff. Listen on Spotify.
- Troupes Bi-weekly Meeting 🤝 The Troupes, our community leaders, met to discuss new/existing initiatives for the community. We are going to be launching two new mastermind programs — Alpha Club and Builder Club — starting in March. More information to follow.
- Intros Program 🙌 the curated, 1–1, member intros program is up and running. It’s super easy to opt-in and meet community members virtually. I had a great meeting with Rafael Laurentin this morning. ☀️ SIGN UP HERE.
