Shyft on the road — September Events

This month at Shyft, our entire team will be traveling across Europe and North America to present the latest developments, discuss the state of blockchain technologies, and educate new audiences on the paradigms and shifts shaping our future.
With a private testnet already announced, a public one to be released this fall and more than 50 signed agreements with partners across industries Shyft has a lot to share with the community. Our chairman Joseph Weinberg and CEO Bruce Silcoff have been unstoppable, traveling around the world and spreading the word about Shyft and it’s trust protocol. And September will be no different.
September 4–5, Paris
First stop, OECD Blockchain Policy Forum, in Paris. The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) will welcome over 400 senior decision-makers from the public and private sectors, experts, academics and other stakeholders for these landmark discussions. Joseph Weinberg, Shyft’s Chairman, will be part of a panel on Self-Sovereign Identity and Loretta Joseph, strategic adviser at Shyft will present on compliance and banking on Blockchain.
The event will be live streamed by Shyft, starting September 4 at 9:30 AM CEST.
September 6, Berlin
Next stop is Berlin Blockchain Week, where Shyft will participate in Dezentral — an inclusive blockchain conference, bringing newcomers, builders and longtime ‘hodlers’ from all over the world together in the heart of Berlin. Joseph will be talking about security tokens and regulations. Shyft’s advisor Meltem Demirors will also be a speaker at the event.
September 6, Toronto
For the rest of September, the Shyft team will be hosting and participating in events in Canada and the US.
On September 6, Elena Yunusov SVP of Branding at Shyft, Suzanne Ennis, Shyft SVP of Global Partnerships, and Karla Vilhelem, PR & Events manager will attend the launch of TIFF Disruptor’s Lounge. Red-carpet-meets champagne-infused panel discussions on disruption ranging from cannabis to blockchain to smart cities.
September 11, Toronto
On September 11, Shyft and The Blockchain Society will be co-hosting a special conference for investors, regulators, corporate and blockchain thought leaders.
At the same time, Shyft will be hosting its first-ever #ShyftHack hackathon! We’re looking forward to gathering the great community of developers in Toronto, as we invite them to make the world more fun and build a cool gamer score infrastructure incorporating Shyft’s creditability score and attestation layer.
September 14, New York
New York, New York! Bruce Silcoff, CEO at Shyft, will represent Shyft at ID2020 Summit with a reception at United Nations. The ID2020 Alliance is a public-private partnership committed to improving lives through user-centric, portable, privacy-protecting digital identity.
September 26, Toronto
Back in Toronto, for Canada’s Tech Week with one and the biggest tech festival in Canada — Elevate. Featuring 15 tracks including Blockchain, Fintech, Social Impact and Smart Cities, and speakers from Square, Shopify, Bloomberg this event will be a successful one for Shyft. Our one and only Chris Forrester, CTO and a true blockchain pioneer will talk about blockchain implementations and opportunities that the tech represents.
September 27, Toronto
Our CCO, Michelle Beyo will be participating in The Women in Payments Symposium. The event will focus on payments at the speed of change with inspiring keynote presentations from leading experts, that provide powerful and relevant career development content in the rapidly changing fields of payment applications, technology and infrastructure, and leadership.
