Check out what’s new in SiaSearch in August 2021. This month, we’ve added new features to allow users to create data collections and provide product feedback.

🏷️ Data Collections

Now, after running a query, users can save search results as a collection for enhanced access and organization.

After selecting results of interest in the search page, users can select the “add to collection” button to add them into a new or existing collection. Currently, only frame level collections can be created, with support for sequences to be introduced soon.

All existing collections can be viewed in the dedicated collections page. For each collection, users can view the following details:

  • Collection Name
  • Type (i.e. Frame or Sequences)
  • Number of Samples
  • Contributors
  • Created/Updated Date
  • Dataset Name

To view the data contained in a collection, users can either use the ‘collections name’ filter in the query menu, or click on a collection from the collections page.

Please note that in the demo version users can only view and search pre-made collections. Adding new collections or editing existing ones is disabled.

💬 User Feedback

User feedback is critical for us to continuously improve the SiaSearch product experience.

Now, using the Hotjar plugin, users can provide instant feedback about SiaSearch as they use the product! It’s simple: click on the sidebar widget to activate the feedback window, select an element on the page, type your comments, and hit send.

With the plugin, users can:

  • Rate their experience of using SiaSearch
  • Report bugs or issues, by selecting specific elements
  • Provide contact details for SiaSearch team to reach out directly

The SiaSearch team is constantly working on new features to improve the SiaSearch product. To stay up to date on SiaSearch releases as they are shipped, sign up to receive our newsletter.

Want to try out our new features? Check them out now on the public version of our platform.
