CivTech Weeks #12–13: CAS Helpline demo video

Post Christmas, we are back at CivTech and burning off the mince pies as we prepare for Demo Day on 8th February.

Here’s a video to demo our speech AI system. The video shows that the system:

1. Works with Scottish accents (obviously)
2. Handles background noise (wind, traffic or conversation)
3. Understands common Scottish colloquial expressions (for instance, ‘Aye’)

If anyone wants to try the helpline, we’d love to hear how you get on (even better if you video it, like Sean did, above). At this stage, it helps the system if you are awkward or colloquial, as we are trying to train it on edge cases.
