Sifchain BetaNet Launch!
Technical Updates for January 2021
* Note: The official token sale start date is Friday, February 19, 5:00 AM GMT. The official token sale end date is Friday, February 26, 6:00 AM GMT. The official token sale page is https://purchase.sifchain.finance/ and it’s the only official page for registered participants to purchase eRowan. This announcement is effective February 17, 2021.
We’ve been hard at work and we’re proud to announce some major technical milestones! Our BetaNet launch is scheduled for 25 January 2021.
After this launch, we will be closely aligned with our end-user community to ensure we are continuously iterating based on feedback. BetaNet will then convert to a MainNet based on these findings and our improvements. Join the discussion through Discord and Telegram!
Our TestNet has been running since October of 2020 with over 100 active validators. Check out our open source code on Github, developer documentation, and pull requests.
Front End
We will be providing a user-friendly interface for people to interact with while engaging in the Sifchain network. Users will be able to easily execute token swaps, add to liquidity pools, and use Peggy through this interface. Users will be able to utilize wallets such as Metamask and Keplr for Sifchain. Our goal is to make everything easy and interoperable.
Peggy
We will enable users to transfer assets between Ethereum and Sifchain through a non-IBC (Inter-Blockchain Communication) permissioned version of Peggy. Users will be able to freely utilize those assets in the Sifchain network while performing swaps and adding to liquidity pools. If users are finished utilizing these assets, they are free to use Peggy to move them back into Ethereum.
SifNode
We will enable users to stake a node as a validator, earning rewards and charging fees for securing the Sifchain network. If a user lacks the technical resources or knowledge to stake a node, they can simply delegate to existing validators to earn rewards.
Next Steps
Get ready for the launch date by signing up for our public token sale and acquiring Rowan, our native crypto-currency. Rowan will be needed to engage in any of the actions described above. If you are not able to participate in this sale, keep your eyes on Uniswap and Bitmax for opportunities to acquire Rowan.
