Sifchain Recap & Updates June 2022
Sifchain community, we’re bringing you updates from the world of Sifchain for the last three weeks of June 2022. Developers, our team is hard at work on tools for you, so that building on Sifchain is easier than ever before. Plus, did you know that our upcoming bridge, Peggy 2.0, that will allow us to connect to any EVM chain, has gotten four audits completed? Read on for more.
SifDAO Town Hall
We had our monthly Town Hall on Friday, June 24. Members of the Sifchain team and the SifDAO councils presented updates on everything from development progress to council decisions.

DAO & Governance
SifDAO passed a proposal to incentivize the wBTC pool. They have two more proposals under discussion, one to adjust the staking rate for ROWAN stakers, and another to add an additional member to the Validator Delegation Council. You can join in on discussions on Commonwealth at https://commonwealth.im/sifchain/.
Council Updates
Token Listing Council
- The council is voting on allocating Protocol Loaned Liquidity. This means they will allocate liquidity to a popular pool to improve the usability of that pool for traders.
- Council members are working on criteria to hide unused pools on the DEX
- A proposal will be going on-chain to clarify the council’s responsibilities and expand the council by one member
Validator Delegation Council
The application window for Phase 2 Validator Delegations will be announced once the council has completed its process review and incorporated the necessary changes. They are aiming to release this next week. You can read more in their statement on Notion.

Marketing
Sifchain received yet another media feature in the last two weeks of June. This time, we were featured in Hackernoon in an article titled, “How Tendermint, Cosmos, and Sifchain Form the Next Generation of Blockchains.”
Our Head of Strategy Sif Moon had an AMA with the Chinese community DeFi100 with 20,000 members. He’s also slated for interviews with 3 podcasts/YouTube influencers in the coming weeks.
Finally, we are gearing up to kick off our Margin Trading Alpha Phase MVP test group! Applications were open to the community, and ten testers were chosen.
The main goal of this test group is to get these community members into the first iteration of Margin Trading, while getting their feedback & input on the product. We will have more tests in the coming weeks with more spots open, so stay tuned.
Product & Engineering
Peggy Bridge Team
The Peggy Bridge Team has gotten results from all four audits of the Peggy 2.0 bridge code. The team has resolved over half of the remediations, and is hard at work at resolving the rest.
Front End Team
The front-end team has completed additional flows on the new upgraded version of the DEX. The team has completely finished all upgraded designs as well and held its first feedback session with a core group from the community. The feedback was positive and the group provided some great insight on some adjustments that the team will look at incorporating.
The front-end team is also focused on designing the UX for Margin 1.0! Community members will be brought in here as well to give feedback, and test it when the time is appropriate.
Data Team
The data team remains focused on building the tools & the associated documentation that will enable developers to more easily onboard to Sifchain. The team held an interactive introduction to these tools with a group of developers from the Sifchain community. The developers from the community will help shape the tool development and education.
This team will continue to meet weekly to ensure the tools, associated documentation, and all demonstrations are clear and robust.
Developer Relations Team
The DevRels team continues to create additional documentation and guides to assist developers.

The team will continue to create these tools and education resources to support external developers in their journey of coming into Sifchain and BUIDLING.
Sifnode Team
The Sifnode team continues to work on the CLP refactor. The team also received its audit findings back on this refactor and has a few items to work through before it gets deployed to BetaNet. The team is also continuing work on an upgrade to the 0.45 version of the Cosmos SDK. This will bring on the AuthZ capability that the community is very excited about!
Margin Trading Team
The margin team is running the alpha MVP test of margin trading product with the community members in the test group. The next steps will be to support this test group and their findings. The team has also started to build future capabilities for the next version of the product.
