About Bware Labs
Bware Labs is a new project on the crypto ecosystem aiming to address the issue of blockchain access for some of the most important networks out there. Their main product consists of a Decentralised API platform that provides endpoints for networks like Binance Smart Chain, and Ethereum while working on adding Sifchain, Polkadot, Matic, Avalanche, and many others into their portfolio.
As a side product and revenue stream, they are also actively maintaining a series of validators for some of the most important blockchain on the crypto market.

About the Bware Labs Team
The Bware Labs team consists of mostly computer science engineers with technical backgrounds at big tech companies like Google, Fitbit, Luxoft, 888Poker, or Ericsson and with proven blockchain experience acquired while working at companies such as Ankr or while deploying and maintaining validators for Elrond, The Graph, Matic, and Sifchain
Bware Labs’s Focus As A Validator
Bware Labs focuses on being a robust validator by relying only on the most dependable cloud-based services like AWS and Digital Ocean. They have engineers on-call 24/7 in case of any emergencies as well.
They also seek to be fair to all their delegators for Sifchain to encourage others to participate.
Performance and Uptime
Bware Labs has been running as a validator for Sifchain since February 24, 2021 with a 100% up time so far.
You have an uptime below 90% during the past one thousand blocks. To restore stability, what measures will you take?
“Investigate the root cause and improve the monitoring/alert mechanism”
How do you protect yourself against DOS attacks?
“We’ve made sure we expose only the p2p port.”
Do you have 24/7 node monitoring tools? If so, could you please briefly describe it?
“Prometheus configured to push alerts/notifications on slack channel.”
Where are you going to operate your machine?
“On the cloud.”
What security measures do you use for your validator nodes?
“Dedicated on-call engineers.”
Under what circumstances will you stop operating nodes?
“If we run out of resources (financial or human).”
Any other important notes you want to add about yourself and/or your node operations.
“We are very proud of our fairness policy towards our delegators and so, in response to our Sifchain Validator getting slashed due to an AWS failure we decided to keep commission to 0% for as long as needed so that our delegators get reimbursed for their eventual losses.”
