“I sit at the edge of the earth watching it go viral. Wondering when it will be safe to go buy cake next.”

The month of march was mostly Panic. But i will try not to concentrate on that. I do not feel like talking or writing, so this is going to be short-er.

Before the country went into a complete lock-down with 4 hours of notice, I managed to walk 80 km around Dharamkot, Bhagsu, McLeod Ganj and Naddi in the month of march. I saw many mountain goats and a couple of waterfalls.

It was a tense time, we were not sure if Steven would be able to come back to Himachal. Air space was shutting down. Everything was shutting down. But things turned out alright, Steven made his way back and quarantined himself for two weeks. We are still not sure if and how long he can stay here. I guess I need to be as comfortable with this uncertainty as I am in these fleece pants that I wear almost every day.

Things I have been grateful for: the sunsets and clouds have been lovely. I have these fleece pants to ride out difficult days. I have managed to get the steroids i need to take on a daily basis for my asthma.

The various clouds outside my window

I can buy groceries including once some surprise smoked scamorza. I have seen many kinds of old world flycatchers here. I have also been on a couple hikes.

Hikes

I will end this post with the cake I baked yesterday in a pressure cooker.
