I love sailing. So, as the first post on Medium, to test the site a bit, I’ll tell you about the Green Grotto. The inspiration came from this not so sharp photo I took a couple of years ago. We sailed near the Croatian Island of Vis and took a dip there.

The Green Grotto is a sea cave with two entrances and an opening at the top — through which light enters, creating a lovely iridescent emerald glowing effect. It’s on a small island called Ravnik, near Vis. You can’t miss it.

There’s another, perhaps more famous grotto near Vis — the Blue Grotto at the Island of Biševo. It used to be only accessible by diving, but in the 19th century someone made an entrance that now allows small boats to squeeze in.

Oh, summer fun.
