Sigo @ SXSW 2018
For the past three years I’ve spent in Austin, the two-week stretch of South by Southwest only meant long lines for free drinks, crazy Uber surges, and amazing music. But this year, I’m incredibly excited to be spending my first SXSW with the Siglo team.
We’ve spent the last few months on the road, speaking on panels, and throwing secret sushi dinners. After traveling around the world and back with the Siglo team, I’m thrilled to be back in Austin this year as it becomes an internationally-recognized hub for blockchain startups for the first time.
So far, we’ve mingled at Archipelago’s angel investor meet-up where the Siglo team spoke alongside some early investors on a panel about blockchain technology in emerging markets. Aside from the 38 official blockchain events at SXSW, there are a ton of unofficial parties and panels going on, too.

Per tradition, the Siglo team will be hosting several secret sushi parties with the help of our amazing friend, chef and former Olympian, Michael Stember, who was recently featured on Sports Illustrated.
Siglo Private Dinners
Our dinner on Sunday, March 11 will be co-hosted with Tech Open Air, which will feature a panel with Kathleen Breitman (Co-Founder, Tezos), DJ Qian (Founder, Fusion), Neha Narula (Director, Digital Currency Initiative), Vinny Lingham (CEO, Civic), Paul Vigna (Wall Street Journal). Afterwards, we’ll be opening it up into a larger party after dinner. You can RSVP here.
Due to an overwhelming response from the crypto community at SXSW, we’re putting on a second dinner with Restless Group on Monday, March 12. This one will feature drinks from local companies Tito’s Vodka, Friends and Allies Brewery, and Austin Eastciders. Oberhofer & Secret Guests will be performing.
