Louise Bourgeois was an important artist and her final work is a monument to her recurring feminist themes… and so much more: contemplating the 91 victims of the Finnmark Witchcraft Trials.

The Steilneset Memorial is monumental art, presented as part of Norway’s National Tourist Routes. Norwegian sculptor Knut Wold curated the project and selected the architect Peter Zumthor and artist Louise Bourgeois to work in collaboration.
