Auto-logging and analytics suite for tracking, operating and maintaining medium to large size fleets of vehicles.

The client approached with a barebones idea and a few basic details about the information they want to avail to their users. An essential part of the brief was that the product must rely on simple-to-understand visualizations that deliver the most important data at quick glances.

Given the breadth of scope and the depth of information to be presented, the foremost guiding principle was to make sure to keep the product from becoming overwhelming to a new user in the slightest way.

So a structure was developed wherein all the homologous data and features would fall within clearly separated modules, accessible in no more than two clicks from the first landing after signing in, so as to drastically minimize the learning curve.

Secondly, every single page was designed in such a way that a visual component delivers most of the essential information and a well formatted and ergonomically placed textual components served the visual by providing auxiliary information.

Similarly, the live tracking panel contains filters to see the real-time status of all vehicles in the fleet or a category of vehicles or a specific vehicle.

Routes can be managed easily and granularly for every vehicle in the fleet, down to the sites and directions involved, and new routes can be created just as easily.

The reports panel amasses auto-logged information about several kinds of trackable events related to a vehicle and presents the information as easy to understand graphs and tables.

The design resulted in great reviews for the client company from its users with respect to the product’s ease of use and depth of information available, without having to dig deep through any buried layers.
